BR (E) A1 60163 Tornado crawls to a stand at Challow, Oxfordshire on 1st December 2012
Tornado definitely wears that blue well,
That is a beautiful shade of blue!
Nice shot of Tornado bigben5051. I really do like that blue livery.
Where is the giant Hornby box that she came right out of? That is an AWESOME PIC!! It's as though I can hear and see her dashing along the farmlands!!
She's very beautiful in that shade of blue.
Such a nice looking steamer. Nice catch of it. Loving the lightening!
and the coaches look right, thats a nice shot
shes looking good in blue
I knew it was only a matter of time before one of the British railfans would finally post a picture of Tornado in blue. She got repainted in the middle of last month, so I'm surprised it took this long.
Spiffing good shot!
very, very impressive shot. keep up the great work
They painted the Tornado BLUE?!??! Wow, it looks gorgeous!! Was it painted blue so they could just bolt a face on it and have it be an accurate Gordon?
They'd need to give her red boiler stripes, take away the smoke deflectors, add splashers over the wheels, switch the round buffers for square ones, just to name a few of the changes if you want a real Gordon. Nonetheless, she does look impressive in blue.
Well yeah, but those are minor changes - enough that the layperson might not notice them. But the MAJOR things (like the class, and overall colour being correct) are there, which is pretty awesome. Even as-is, he's still a more accurate Gordon than a lot of other Railway Series character replicas I've seen out there...
